Kyle Wiltjer signs non-guaranteed contract with Toronto

Gonzaga fans may want to hold off on busting out the credit card for the latest edition of a Kyle Wiltjer jersey.

The former Bulldog forward has had quite a turbulent off season. Wiltjer finished up his first year in the League appearing in 14 games with the Houston Rockets but since then he’s been on the move.

First, Wiltjer was traded to Los Angeles as part of the deal that saw Chris Paul head to the Rockets but the former Zag was waived in Mid-July. Since then he’s been working to find a place in the NBA to begin a new journey. Luckily, the Toronto Raptors are looking to fill two rosters spots in camp.

Wiltjer signed a one-year, non-guaranteed contract that will allow him to compete for that final roster spot. He has a legitimate chance at landing a roster spot with the team who has little in terms of shooting big men, outside of Serge Ibaka.
